Carlson is known for his strong opinions and willingness to engage in spirited debates with guests and has been criticised by some for his provocative style.

Former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson will be bringing his voice to upcoming Australian events that promise to cover a range of topics including “threats to truth, democracy and personal freedoms.”

“I’m so excited to come to Australia,” Mr. Carlson said in a video announcement promoting the Australian Freedom Conference in June, which has events scheduled for five dates across Australia’s main centres.

“Australia always seemed like a place that was very much like where we lived, though maybe a little more exotic and interesting,” he added.

The Australian Freedom Conference is the brainchild of Clive Palmer, an Australian businessman, politician, and mining magnate.

Mr. Palmer extolled Mr. Carlson’s virtues when announcing the event schedule this week.

“Tucker has long advocated that news coverage in the West can be wrongly used as a tool of repression and control,” he said.

“He believes democracy cannot function properly under these controls and the only solution to ending propaganda is fearlessly speaking the truth. I’m delighted Australia has the opportunity to hear from Tucker and our other speakers on this informative national tour.”

They will be joined at the conferences by American filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, whose films and books deal in conservative political commentary, and Queensland GP Dr. Melissa McCann, a leading figure in the movement calling for accountability for those allegedly injured by the COVID-19 vaccine.
