Camp in Comfort at These Saskatchewan Glamping Sites

One of the latest trends in outdoor adventures is glamping, or glamorous camping.

A 2022 report by campground operators KOA found that the glamping industry has seen a 310 percent increase over the past decade. Glamping brands have seen a 290 percent growth, according to the report findings.
Whether you’re new to this style of adventure or you are looking for a summertime getaway, here is a list of popular glamping spots in Saskatchewan.

Blackstrap Glamping Resort

Located 25 kilometres south of the city of Saskatoon, this glamping resort is in the heart of Blackstrap Provincial Park. It offers four domes with unique themes. In the domes, guests will find a king-size bed, an additional bed in the loft, and a futon for even more sleeping space. The resort has free wifi so you can upload all your luxury camping photos to social media. Fully stocked with dishes, a coffee maker, and a microwave, the domes are like a home away from home.

Alive Sky, Rosetown

A unique prairie camping experience, the owners of Alive Sky near Rosetown have creatively converted farm spaces into glamping delights, including an old grain elevator. Despite the rustic look, the accommodations at Alive Sky come equipped with air conditioning, wifi, a television, a power outlet, a hot tub, and a kitchenette.

Northshore Resort on Buffalo Pound Lake

For a more traditional camping experience, the glamping rentals at Buffalo Pound Lake put you in the middle of nature and 600 acres of lakefront space, along with all the luxury you could want. These glamping spots provide a fridge, coffeemaker, fire pit, barbecue, and kitchenette all right off the beach.

Camp Wolf Willow

Located about 80 kilometres south of Saskatoon, this glamping site is located along the shores of the South Saskatchewan River, near a wooded valley offering campers the best of prairie life. Visitors can enjoy getting outside and exploring the hiking and biking trails, the lilac maze, fire pits, and picnic tables all in a rolling prairie setting. Camp Wolf Willow offers a variety of wooden tent glamping spots as well as camping sites for tents and RVs.

Nesslin Lake

At this campground, visitors can stay in one of the yurts that offer the comforts of home, including a queen-size bed, sofa bed, fridge, kettle, toaster, heater, and barbecue, as well as dishes, pots, and pans. Campers can also get outside and use the firepit and picnic tables at the site. The larger yurt has a private bathroom and a gazebo to enjoy the lake scenery.

Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park

With family and couple-size canvas glamping tents, this spot offers spectacular views of Lake Diefenbaker. Accommodations come with air conditioning, king-size beds with twin bunks for kids, private washrooms, and kitchenettes. Visitors will also be able to get a full camping experience with a private firepit and barbecue area along with a picnic table. It’s the ideal place to reconnect with the great outdoors.

Flora Bora

With several yurts to choose from, glamping with Flora Bora in Northern Saskatchewan is a memorable experience. The site is near both Emma and Christopher lakes nestled in the prairie forest, allowing visitors to hike, canoe, bike, fish, view wildlife, or just relax on the beach. These glamping spaces come with a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, deck, barbecue, and bonfire pit.
