Trump Administration Anti-trafficking Office Had ‘Incredible Impact’.
By Emily Smith
When you’ve been doing things right, people will keep giving their compliments and praise long after you’re gone. Recently, the Trump administration’s efforts against human trafficking were said to have been of great importance.
Namely, in an interview on Friday, Jaco Booyens, the founder of SHAREtogether, said President Trump’s anti-trafficking office had an “incredible impact.”
He went on to explain that no former president had ever created an office to specifically combat sex trafficking.
He maintained that the “tremendous rise in apprehension” and “rescue of victims” by police was a result of President Trump’s appropriation of funds and task forces.
Booyens pointed out that work against trafficking is crucial, as our kids are our future.
He argued:
“There’s major foul play, and unfortunately the ticket of trade is our children, I’ll go as far, it’s our future. Cause they are our future. I mean why are we doing what we’re doing? You, me, it’s for our kids, it’s for America.”
Booyens admitted he was not sure that the strong support for law enforcement against human trafficking will continue under the Biden administration.
