Third Person Charged After Fatal Crash Killed Grandma in Stolen Car

A third person has been charged with robbery offences in connection to a crash that killed a Queensland grandmother north of Brisbane.

Rosemary Franzidis, 69, died in a high-impact collision at Murrumba Downs on Nov. 7 after an Audi was allegedly stolen by a 16-year-old at gunpoint.

The boy is in custody on a string of charges including manslaughter, and a 35-year-old woman has also been arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal crash.

A 21-year-old man is the third person charged over his alleged links to a stolen orange Holden Barina hatchback seen before the fatal crash.

It is believed the car was stolen from a property in Northgate between Nov. 6 and 7.

Police allege the occupants of the Barina, including the 16-year-old boy, 35-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, arrived at Griffin about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 7 and the teen got out and threatened a woman with a firearm.

He allegedly stole the Audi that was involved in the crash that killed Franzidis.

The 21-year-old has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery while in company and armed, and one count of robbery in company while armed and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Nov. 12.
