I’m SO EXCITED to share the news about the next Rebel News Cruise!
If you’re not familiar with the Rebel News Cruise… We all go on a cruise ship together, have dinner together each night, and when the ship is at sea, we hold seminars in a meeting room, with lots of lively Q&A and discussion. The rest of the time is your own — including when we’re in port. It’s a vacation, a way to connect with other Rebel News enthusiasts, and an opportunity to get to know me, Sheila Gunn Reid, Drea Humphrey, Alexa Lavoie, David Menzies — and the most famous Freedom Fighter in Canada: Tamara Lich.
It’s also an important annual fundraiser for Rebel News — so you can actually help keep us strong, just by having a fun holiday!
The Rebel News Cruise will set sail out of Vancouver on June 18, 2025. It’s one week long, from June 18 to 25, 2025, travelling from Vancouver to Alaska (and back).

First, we’ll sail through the scenic Inside Passage. Then on to Tracy Arm Inlet, Juneau (the capital of Alaska), Skagway (my favourite town, which is amazing), Glacier Bay (possibly the most beautiful place I’ve ever been), Ketchikan, and finally back to Vancouver.
It’s going to be beautiful, relaxing, and a bit luxurious — we’re going on the Holland America Line, so you know it’s going to be nice.
But the real fun is that we’re bringing so many of our senior journalists with us, for a series of special Rebel News-only events on the ship when we’re at sea — panel discussions where you can get intimate and interactive with some of the best journalists in Canada.
That’s what makes this cruise so special: over the course of the week, you’ll have countless opportunities to talk one-on-one with your favourite Rebel News personalities in a casual setting. We’ll have private Rebel-only film screenings, receptions, and a series of panel discussions with question-and-answer sessions where you can really dig into the issues.
And each night we’ll rotate seats at dinner, so you’ll sit with a different Rebel celebrity — and your fellow Rebel enthusiasts from across the country. One night you’ll have dinner with me. The next night with David Menzies. And so on. How much fun is that?!
