The sight of her unconscious body on the operating table being subject to furious efforts by medical staff to save her life was Vicki Umipeg’s first experience of vision, as she was born blind.
At age 22, thrown out of a car, she’d suffered skull fractures, a concussion, and other severe injuries. Now, looking down at the damaged body through panoramic vision, she recognized it as her own by the distinct wedding ring she had only ever known by touch.
Umipeg’s case is one of 4,000 cases of near-death experience (NDE) researched and reviewed by Dr. Jeffrey Long, who began this work 25 years ago and publishes his findings on the Near-Death Experience Foundation website….
