Hypothetical thought experiment. Keeping the protests on the 5th is only going to end in one way.
Postponing till after the road map is delivered and the state of emergency/disaster is set to end is only going to make the crowd bigger.
Because what’s the goal? To have as BIG and EFFECTIVE protest as possible.
No one is talking about postponing because of “fear” of the clown patrol and being issued fines their not going to pay anyway.
People are talking about the date because we all want the BIGGEST & BEST protest possible.
Think, if the 5th goes ahead, there will be less people, footage of the SS arresting people, which will be a big deterrent for more people to attend at potential future protests.
Then dopey dandolph will extend lockdown, blame the protesters, spark more division etc… This is exactly why he planned to have his roadmap the day after the protests.
Imagine the look on his big dopey face when not a single person shows up for the protests and he has nothing to blame. Oh oh, he will have to make up a very poor reason for extending lockdown and then, guess what? Wayyyy more people are going to join us for the protest!
Q “Why not protest both days?”
A “Because then dopey dandolph will extend the lockdown and we won’t get the people who would have joined us after the lockdown was meant to end because there will now be a “Believable” reason to extend the lockdown…In their minds, the lockdown will be half justified and they wont protest. But if the lockdown is extended with nothing to blame, then a much larger number of people will be PISSED”
Q “This is just going to delay us standing up for our rights and we will never protest, it will just keep getting delayed!”
A “We will always stand up for our rights. Nothing will ever stop that. The protest will happen, inevitably. But what is also important, is thinking this through thoroughly to ensure we have the largest attendance and impact as possible.”
Q “But we have already planned it for the 5th! I’m excited and ready for it. I want to get it over and done with. It’s going to be too hard to re-organise”
A “SO? How hard is it to change the date on a facebook event? How hard is it to update marketing images and tell everyone it’s been postponed because we don’t want a half ass protest, we want the biggest baddest motherfucking protest we can muster!”
Q “But what about the rest of the country?”
A “Go ahead as planned”
