Some Victorians can’t be vaccinated against infectious diseases.
Newborn babies. People with severe allergies. Those with weakened immune systems.
They need the rest of us – particularly those looking after them – to do our bit.
So today we’re introducing legislation to make it mandatory for frontline healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated.
It’ll cut down the risk of infectious disease for some of our most vulnerable patients – and mean healthcare workers can do their jobs without fear of getting sick themselves.
And that’s better for everyone.
