Cold War II US Military Supplies Have Resumed Heavy Fighting Near Pokrovsk Military Summary 2025.02.04

By Military Summary

This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 4th of February 2025.

Here’s what others had to say:

@shutup2751
Russia has zero reason to negotiate with Ukraine anymore, Zelensky should really speed up his research of where he will stay in exile.

@wtf_usa5597
“The goal is NOT to win these wars. The goal is to use the wars to wash money out of the tax bases of the United States and out of the tax bases of European countries and back into the hands of a transnational security elite. THAT is the goal. To have ENDLESS wars, NOT SUCCESSFUL wars.”
~ Julian Ass.ange – Stop the War
Interview – 8 October 2011

@andyj482
Dima, there’s no rule that attackers suffer more casualties than defenders. If that were the case then the Germans would have suffered more casualties than the Soviets in the first half of WWII and the Americans would have suffered more casualties than the Iraqis and Afghanis, as well as countless other historical examples.
There’s a lot of factors that determine which side likely suffers more casualties. These include factors such as quality and quantity of fire power, troop strengths, ratios, training and experience, morale, available cover, terrain, leadership, tactics, communications, operational planning and practice, etc. Attacking vs defending just isn’t even on the list.
If you’re thinking of the common mantra of the 3:1 ratio, it has nothing to do with casualties but is rather an oversimplified benchmark for the manpower ratio requirement for a successful attack.

@aphelios9157
As Putin predicted when they asked him: Harris or Trump? it’s the same… nothing will change in regards to Ukraine.

@jean-philippeleblanc2660
0 reason to actually believe those supplies ever stopped.

@libertarianbydefault
No, there is no logic in Urkainians having fewer losses than Russians. The military wisdom says you need to have a 3:1 advantage to attack, it does not mean you will have x3 losses. Russia has an overwhelming firepower advantage, Ukrainians cannot hold ground and often retreat through fields, under fire. Or get surrounded and destroyed. So, no, “Ukraine defending” does not automatically mean they have fewer losses. The side that is stronger, better trained, better equipped and better supplied has fewer losses.

@dturner8567
Dima goes on and on how “Russians can’t drive across the fields” and then, proceeds to show Ukrainians driving across a field.

@bcc1955
Dima, this is not about “protecting Ukrainians”. It is about NATO expansion, with the previously existing goal of Western exploitation of Ukraine mineral wealth being re-emphasized to get Trump on board with both these goals. The benefactors are Kiev elites and Western corporations. Fighting to the last Ukrainian is actually “sacrificing Ukrainians”.

@wtf_usa5597
We have double-crossed Pu.tin so many times, there’s NO WAY he’d “negotiate” again unless we basically agreed to exactly his terms.

@alexanderlejon9958
I have a gut feeling that those sudden “counter attacks” are definitely not conducted by totaly devastated ukrainian units. Those are definitely NATO reinforcements.

@rejuv-20
Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the strategically vital Pokrovsk was expected, and the Russians were fully aware of it. However, Russia has no intention of relinquishing control over the rare minerals in the region, regardless of Ukraine’s efforts to reclaim them. In fact, the war’s history has repeatedly shown Ukraine’s struggle to maintain control over territory, which is why Russian forces are now advancing toward Dnipro. Ultimately, there is only one inevitable outcome—Pokrovsk will fall.

@AchillesHeel-e7e
Russia is indispensable!
The world needs Russia for sanity, balance of power and keeping the depraved & belligerent West in check.

@mladenmatosevic4591
It appears Russians attack more carefully and with less waste of men and material.

@cristianmorstabilini7826
Black Rock asking Trump to have their Investment

@YThome7
Stop speculating about changes of position of the USA on Ukraine. Mark my words, remember as an axiom: Trump or anti-Trump, Biden or anti-Biden any war against Russia will continue and will be supported by the USA – this is in the interests of the USA.

@johnsonwdavid
Ukraine has nothing to go on the offensive with. Empty words of Trump are meaningless.

@Gort-zs5ph
No honor exists in our country to ask another to die in huge numbers for rare earth minerals, just unreal. I’m ashamed. Great update, thanks Dima.
